CardCheck (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates cardcheck.in (the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using CardCheck, you agree to the terms of this policy.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information you provide
- Email address and name if you create an account (via Google Sign-In)
- Card ratings and favourites you save
- Inputs you enter in tools (quiz answers, calculator spends, eligibility details) — these are processed locally in your browser and are NOT stored on our servers unless you are logged in
b) Information collected automatically
- Pages visited, time on page, clicks (via Google Analytics)
- Apply button clicks and the card selected
- Anonymous session identifier (stored in localStorage, not linked to your identity)
- UTM parameters from links you clicked to arrive at CardCheck
- Device type, browser, operating system, approximate location (country/city via IP)
c) Information we do NOT collect
- Credit card numbers or financial account details
- Actual credit score or CIBIL report data
- Aadhaar, PAN or any government ID
- Payment information (we do not charge users)
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the CardCheck platform and tools
- To save your card ratings, favourites and preferences across sessions (if logged in)
- To track apply button clicks for affiliate commission attribution
- To analyse how users interact with the platform via Google Analytics 4 (GA4), helping us improve features and content
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To send you product updates or alerts, only if you have explicitly opted in
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that has legal effects on you
3. Cookies & Tracking
CardCheck uses the following types of cookies and local storage:
Keeps you logged in via Supabase Auth
Tracks apply clicks without identifying you personally (localStorage)
Saves ratings, favourites, compare selections locally (localStorage)
Measures page views, sessions, user behaviour — anonymised
Loads analytics scripts efficiently
You can disable Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We share data with the following third parties only as necessary to operate the platform:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data (email, name) is stored on Supabase servers (EU region). Supabase is SOC 2 compliant.
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymised usage analytics. Data is processed by Google and subject to Google's privacy policy. IP addresses are anonymised.
- Affiliate networks (vCommission, Cuelinks, etc.) — when you click “Apply Now”, your click is tracked by the affiliate network using a tracking URL. The affiliate network receives: click timestamp, card applied for, and a cookie for attribution. No personal identity is shared.
- Vercel — our hosting provider. Serves the website globally. May process request metadata (IP, browser) for DDoS protection.
- Railway — our backend hosting provider. Processes API requests.
We do not share, sell or rent your personal information to advertisers, data brokers or any third party for marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
- Account data (email, name, ratings, favourites) is retained as long as your account is active
- Anonymous analytics data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics (GA4 default)
- Apply click logs are retained for 12 months for commission verification purposes
- To delete your account and all associated data, email us at privacy@cardcheck.in. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct — update inaccurate information in your account settings
- Delete — request deletion of your account and personal data
- Opt out — unsubscribe from any email communications at any time
- Data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format

8. Changes to This Policy
